Arcane Arts – Personal Artist’s Portfolio

Adrienne is a friend of mine and I used her needs as my guidelines for making a simple WordPress portfolio site. She is an artist that is actively traveling the Art and Crafts circuit. This site is a crucial part of her networking with artists and buyers alike. It is gradually growing as Adrienne and I have time to address her additional business needs. Some of those have been:

- Move her original Typepad blog to a free WordPress self hosted version
- Keep the same blog layout and design additional pages for galleries of artwork
- Create an original template and in a minimal style
- Simple ways to update the front page slideshow
- Solutions for selling artwork directly on web site
- Calendar of events
- Guide and teach Adrienne on the new system and ways to update copy and media

Eventually, there’s a plan to make this project into a free theme to download

Consulting and Education Center

Using the WordPress system for the first time, I developed a completely new web site for CEC. An informative new design and organization of information supported by a back-end administration able to control all aspects of the web-site as well as expand with the companies needs. This site will definitely develop over time as well as my complete support for the WordPress system.

For Signe’s first online fashion portfolio she desired a design that reflected an actual look-book. Splash page started with the book closed. Tabs opened book to reveal fashion photography spreads in multiple categories as well as video of commercials and bands. The design wrapped the flash gallery solution SlideshowPro.net.

A portfolio site that needed it’s 1990s feel and guidelines brought up to 2008 styles. In this redesign we only kept the framework of horizontal content then took in account each element, resulting in a splash page, larger portfolio imagery, reorganizatoin of all content, fixed top navigation and a design with more depth in the graphics.

Art Portfolio of Paintings

Rob is a good friend and I’m lucky enough to own one of his pieces of artwork. Viewing his artwork is like flipping through a history book. They have a lot to say and it’s usually a mystery of Who Done It. To say the least I was happy to create a simple portfolio site for Rob to use as he ventures of as a “free agent” in the NYC market.

Year Round Camp and Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia

I’ve been working with Calvin Center for some years now as their web master. I perform regular informative updates related to their camps and conferences. We are currently working on a redesign as they have changed administration and have added wishes for the site. I’m hoping for a budget to be able to make a dynamic self administering site.
